Position Title Logger Lair Attendant, Student Worker
Position Description/Requirements

Lincoln Land Community College is seeking Student Workers to provide oversight and maintenance of Logger Lair facility.

Student Workers will perform the following duties:

  • Register current students for Logger Lair passes
  • Enforce admittance to current students only and maintain general order in the game room
  • Inform game room patrons of current rules and procedures and consistently enforce them
  • Assist with the checking-in & out of games and equipment that includes proper use and up-keeping of equipment
  • Complete and turn in opening & closing checklists, if necessary
  • Inspect equipment when students return for damage
  • Complete an incident report for damaged or loss items, if necessary
  • Aid students with necessary tasks such as assisting with game counsels or other game room equipment
  • Assist & coordinate game room special events/activities and other tasks as assigned

All LLCC Student Workers have the following institutional responsibilities:

  • Uphold LLCC’s mission, as well as certain standards of conduct within the College and in dealings with students, staff, faculty and the general public.
  • Responsible for compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other regulations with regard to confidentiality of and access to student and other institutional records.

Student Workers will be paid minimum wage and will be scheduled to work 10-20 hours per week, flexible hours Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM at the main campus. Students eligible for Federal-Work Study are encouraged to apply.

Requirements include the following:

  • Must maintain satisfactory academic progress
  • Must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) during the semester of employment, with the exception of summer term
  • Complete LLCC’s mandatory harassment prevention training within 30 days of employment
  • Minimum GPA 2.5
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must have the ability to work with diverse students and populations
  • Knowledge of gaming systems preferred
  • Must have familiarity with video gaming equipment
  • Must have the confidence to enforce admittance and rule regulations

If working with minors, employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
