Position Title Placement and Testing Student Worker
Position Description/Requirements

Lincoln Land Community College is currently accepting applications for a Placement and Testing Student Worker to provide students with excellent customer service and a good testing experience while maintaining the integrity of all proctored or administered tests.

Student Workers will perform the following duties:

  • Greeting all new and continuing students in a friendly manner when they enter the area
  • Maintain a professional attitude in order to provide all students with a good testing experience
  • Launch the ACCUPLACER exam
  • Maintain the integrity of the ACCUPLACER exam at all times
  • Maintain at all times the integrity of all testing proctored or administered in the testing center
  • Answer phone calls and direct student to the correct department as needed
  • Help maintain cleanliness of the lab
  • Empty shred boxes weekly and pick up and deliver mail daily
  • Report to your supervisor at scheduled work times
  • Be productive in your work

All LLCC Student Workers have the following institutional responsibilities:

  • Uphold LLCC’s mission, as well as certain standards of conduct within the College and in dealings with students, staff, faculty and the general public.
  • Responsible for compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other regulations with regard to confidentiality of and access to student and other institutional records.

Student Workers will be paid minimum wage. ONLY students eligible for Federal Work Study will be considered for this position. Students will be scheduled to work up to 15 hours per week flexible hours Monday-Friday between 9AM-4PM, at the main campus.

Requirements include the following:

  • Must maintain satisfactory academic progress
  • Must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) during the semester of employment, with the exception of summer term
  • Complete LLCC’s mandatory harassment prevention training within 30 days of employment
  • Minimum GPA 2.0
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

If working with minors, employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
