Position Description

Lincoln Land Community College is seeking a dynamic, self-starter to join our Information Systems team as a Programmer Analyst I reporting to the Director of Administrative Computing. This position will work on-site at our main campus in Springfield and will provide assistance in the day-to-day support of the College’s ERP system and other administrative systems, providing assistance in the application, programming and some system support for all ITS administrative systems.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to ensuring the stability of the administrative computer systems and its data by maintaining all the databases and applications.
  • Contributing to the support of various departments in the area of systems analysis, systems design, programming, testing, and implementation of new software.
  • Providing assistance by extracting data from the administrative computer system for external reporting.
  • Under supervision, analyzing and documenting user requirements and determining IT needs.
  • Providing assistance in writing programs and reports in a Unidata environment to fulfill users’ requests.
  • Assisting in developing new applications and/or customizing existing applications to meet end-users’ specifications, using Colleague Studio.
  • Assisting in creating queries and reports for faculty and staff.

Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience but will be no less than $39,551 per year with an excellent benefit package.

Position Requirements

Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Candidates with a minimum of 3 years of programming experience, in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, will be accepted. Additionally, candidates must have a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office products; ability to remain flexible in an ever-changing environment; be a team player with ability to work both in a collaborative environment and independently with moderate supervision; possess strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills; and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical audience.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and drug-screen.
